University of Wisconsin-Madison

Well, this is my second semester in the School of Library and Information Studies. This is the most challenging thing I have ever done in my entire life. I have to bring my faith up to a higher level. I must TRUST GOD for everything. He is faithful, just, dependable, loving, kind, and forgiving. For every time I blow it and miss His divine plan, He gently and lovingly chastens and encourages me to stay the course and I will.

Moving!

Well, after living in the Austin community for 27 years, God has answered major prayer!
In fact, God has answered many prayers simultaneously. First, I have been accepted at the
University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Library and Information Studies (SLIS). Second, I
was selected for the Advanced Opportunity Fellowship (AOF). This fellowship covers ALL
my tuition, books, fees, and living expenses! In addition, I received the LAMP scholarship.
I had to step out on faith and know that God was going to supply all of my needs according
to HIS riches in glory through Christ Jesus. These opportunities opened up only after I applied
for and was accepted in the SLIS program. I am still believing God to provide my needs with
regard to professional movers, security deposits and the like. It's incredible that at 49 years
old, I am going away to college for the first time! How cool is that? The theme of my farewell
party is "It's Never To Late." It is indeed NEVER to late to live your dreams. Please come out and share in this fabulous occasion with me. Bring a dish to share on Sunday, July 10, 2011 at 4:00 pm. 6216 W. North Ave., Chicago, IL. Thank you for all of your love and support. Blessings!

First blog post

I was determined to make my way to the house of prayer this morning. I couldn't wait to share
a God ordained opportunity to impact the state of Illinois for the Kingdom of God (KOG). As I
shared several resources with the people, I was told that I should start a blog. Well, here it is!
I am so excited. When I sit down to write, my writing takes on a life of its own. I'm not sure what to expect or what will become of this effort. All I know is that I'm being obedient and looking forward to what ever God has up his sleeve. Stay turned. This is about to get interesting.
